San Diego
We're heading for San Diego this weekend. We'll be staying in Coronado while DH is at a conference.
I wish I was more excited about it. I guess its just too soon after our vacation. Also, I'm a little nervous about it just being me and B. during the day. I'll have to negotiate a big city that I'm not familiar with.
It's a long trip, although we're staying at my parent's house on the way down and back, to break up the drive. I think its 9.5 hrs from here non-stop!
B. and I will be going to the San Diego Zoo on Wed. That should be fun, but the place is huge. I'm not sure how we hold up. I can get a stroller for him, but what about me?! We'll take the bus tour first, but after that, if we rent a stroller, I'll have to walk through the park. Of course the petting zoo is at the back.
We decided that we wouldn't do any of the other big attractions in the area this time (like Sea World, Legoland, or Disneyland). After our vacation, we realized that 'less is more' with a 3.5 y/o. In a few more years, he'll enjoy it more. We'll just go to the local areas, shopping/eating. Maybe rent bikes, or paddle boats, and take the water taxi, so B. can see what that's like. I know he and I will be spending some time in the outdoor pools at the hotel, and down at the beach.
I'm tired already.
