Ugh, He's becoming one of 'those' children
My son is becoming a spoiled brat! I hate to admit it, and I swore I would never have a child like 'that'.
He now expects us to buy him something every time we go somewhere. We went to Target the other day, and he wanted to look at the toys. I explained that he could look but he wasn't getting anything. He first started negotiating the 'okay, this time you can buy me something, and next time not'... to a flat out tantrum. I was horrified. Ironically, I actually was buying him something, but clothes don't count.
Its our own fault. DH is worse than I am. He's always getting him something, and then complaining because he has too many toys. I try not to do it, but sometimes I do it without really thinking. Of course vacation was bad, because he did get something almost everywhere he went. I think the McDonald's Happy Meal toys started it all. He got something for no reason. Now he expects it. I hate that. We need to put a stop to it NOW.
Tomorrow is 'Boys Day Out'. I told DH that they could do whatever they want, he just couldn't buy him anything (clothes don't count).

Oh Gayle, I feel your pain. Jim is the same way, always buying some useless toy for Peter! Of course Peter would be happy with just the Happy meal toy!
