Regression
And I thought W. was doing so well at preschool... Last week and this week we are back to tears when he goes. Today he begged me not to take him. *sigh*
I think there are a few things going on. One, he's been sick, and is still not 100%. He's been less energetic and more clingy in general. Two, his one good buddy at school was gone all last week. And three, there are a few 'bad boys' at school who seem to be more agressive with hitting and pushing, and I think W. was starting to become afraid of them, and going to school.
I talked to the morning teacher today, (and also mentioned it to the director) and she agreed that there is a group of boys that are more physical and a group that are more like W. She said she would watch and pass the word on.
When I went to pick him up, I found out that his regular teacher had left. He now has a new teacher, who also happens to be his buddy N.'s mom. She told me that she would be watching the boys much more closely and putting a stop to things as soon as she could. She also said she would pair up N. and W. whenever she could. W. did seem better when I picked him up.
I'm hoping with the changes, and hopefully he'll be feeling better soon, that things will improve. I just hate seeing him so upset.
