That was fun

A quick and furious trip, but we had a good time. It was cold at Bonfante Gardens! We were all bundled up, but still got pretty cold. W. watched Santa from a distance and was happy to wave and write a letter, but was not interested in talking to him, or sitting on his lap.

We enjoyed the aquarium as always. S. saw his shark. He didn't really get a good picture, but its hard to take pictures of moving objects in the dark. I ran into a friend of my brother there. Her husband was diving and feeding fish that day, so that was fun. Small world.

Its time to get serious about Christmas. The tree is up, but still needs decorated. Outside lights will probably come this next weekend. I wish more people on our street decorated. I like all the pretty lights. I suppose I'm done with shopping. I'm sure I could get more, but when do you say, 'enough'. We're trying to tone down from last year. As long as there is a Roundhouse under the tree, I think we're safe.

Weekend getaway

We're heading over to Bonfante Gardens and the Monterey Aquarium this weekend. It will be a quicker trip than originally planned for various reasons, but we didn't want to risk bad weather. This weekend should be nice.

Bonfante Gardens has a Holiday Lights event that has a lot of Christmas things and a Santa Parade. It looks like fun and I think W. will love it!

DH is determined to see the Great White Shark that they have at the Aquarium right now. He missed the last one that was there. You never know how long they will be able to keep one in captivity, so now is the time. The Aquarium is only about 45 min. from B.G. so we decided we should do both in one trip. It will be a lot of driving in two days, but we're counting on W. sleeping a lot of the time in the car. It will be nice not to have to pack so much this time.

Time to start wrapping presents and getting the decorations out too. Christmas certainly is a lot more fun when you have a little one!
